Electricity & Green Energy

At Aline3D, we're big fans of our beautiful planet and making things that bring a smile to your face. We use 3D printing to create awesome toys, tools, and fidgets, but we know that all the electricity we use has an impact on the environment. So, we do our part to reduce our footprint and keep things green.

We're happy to show you the cool things we do to make our products and keep the planet healthy!

Green Energy

Solar Panels on our Roof

We're a home-based business. Our house is decked out with solar panels, so we can run on locally-generated electricity. These panels generate enough energy to offset 60% of what we use to run our house and 3D printers.

We love that we can work from home and do our part to reduce our carbon footprint. Because we don't have to travel to an office building or workspace, we also don't have to burn gas for a car! It's a win-win for us and the planet!

Buying Wind Energy from the Grid

So, sometimes the sun isn't shining, and our solar panels can't keep up with our energy needs. When that happens, we have to buy from the grid, but we only buy green wind energy.

Most of the wind energy we buy is locally produced in the Netherlands, but we also get some from our awesome neighboring countries.

Small Spaces need Less Heat

We came up with a smart way to use IKEA closets for our 3D printers. We managed to squeeze them into a small space, which means the printers can heat the room themselves.

Because of this, the room temperature is higher, so the printers need less energy to stay at the perfect temperature for printing. Plus, we made sure the room is well-insulated to keep all that heat and energy right where we need it.

Tracking Energy Usage

We use energy meters to keep an eye on our device usage. By tracking how much energy our devices are using, we can spot any areas where we're being less efficient and make changes to reduce our energy consumption.
